Activities for all ages, entertainment, convenient amenities and fun dining are all within a six-mile radius of our Pecos Road location. If you find yourself in this part of the Las Vegas Valley, here are a few ideas on where to start.
The Winchester Dondero Cultural Center is in the middle of the town’s bustling streets and picturesque neighborhoods. It’s a haven for community activities, including children’s dance and theater programs, as well as an art gallery with regularly updated exhibits. Locals also enjoy the center’s skatepark and desert botanical garden. In the autumn, the center hosts the yearly Dia de Los Muertos celebration, “Life in Death: Day of the Dead,” with art exhibits, performances, crafts and delicious food.
During the weekend or a spare afternoon, head over to HeadzUp Las Vegas. It’s a sprawling entertainment complex with enough activity to fill several hours. First, the 3D Trick Art Museum offers mind-boggling, interactive optical illusion murals that make for the perfect photo opp. There’s are also multiple themed escape rooms for a fun challenge: Groups will need to put their heads together, collaborate and think fast to solve a mystery before the deadline expires. It doesn’t stop there – guests at HeadzUp can also try their hands at axe throwing (basically more intense darts) as well as archery tag, an adrenaline-packed sport where two teams combat with foam-tipped arrows. Make sure to allot a few hours to get the most out of this exciting destination.
As the sun dips below the horizon, check out Sam’s Town Hotel and Gambling Hall – one of the best places to try your luck off the Strip. It has one of the largest casino floors in Las Vegas, in addition to bowling lanes and a movie theater. You’ll also want to explore the 25,000-square-foot indoor park – an atrium with tall trees and cobblestone paths surrounding a rushing waterfall. Fun fact: Rock band The Killer’s 2006 album Sam’s Town was named after the casino.
Whether you’re here to explore, have fun, work or build a life, our Pecos Road climate-controlled storage facility offers extra space that’s convenient and close.
