Irvine is Considered One of Orange County’s Best Small Cities
Officially incorporated in 1971, Irvine is one of the largest master-planned communities in the nation. It’s 45 miles south of Los Angeles, 90 miles north of San Diego and close to Newport Beach, Costa Mesa and Santa Ana. The John Wayne/Orange County Airport is in Irvine offering non-stop flights to many other cities. For those travelling by car, Interstates 5 and 405 are a straight shot to the city center.
Our facility, near Jamboree Road and Kelvin Avenue, is a stone’s throw from Irvine’s bustling business district. It’s also close to the airport as well as in-demand neighborhoods Woodbridge and Turtle Rock, which border the Shady Canyon and Strawberry Farms golf clubs (stunning locations to tee up). We’re a short drive from grocery stores, shopping, restaurants and other attractions — including one of the Tustin Blimp Hangars. These now-abandoned hangars are considered among the largest wood structures in the world. They housed blimps during World War II that would travel up and down the California coast searching for any sign of enemy submarines. They’re worth a visit.
Irvine is home to numerous educational institutions, including the University of California, Irvine (the largest employer in the city), Concordia University and Irvine Valley College. Additionally, many companies are headquartered in Irvine, including In-N-Out Burger, LA Fitness, NextGen Healthcare and a sprinkling of clothing brands. Students and entrepreneurs appreciate our facility’s central location.
More than a third of the city is preserved for parks, making Irvine a haven for athletes and nature lovers. You’ll find one regional park and 23 community parks within the city limits. With an annual average high temperature of 72.7 degrees and mild winters, Irvine’s weather can’t get much better for year-round outdoor activities.
