Las Vegas Airport Location

The main airport in Las Vegas is McCarran International Airport. It is situated approximately 5 miles from downtown and only a few minutes’ drive from the world famous Las Vegas Strip. The airport has 4 runways and two terminals. It is located at 5757 Wayne Newton Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89119. The airport is named after the Nevada senator Pat McCarran.

McCarran International Airport is the fifth largest in the US and handles in excess of 45 million passengers each year. The code for the airport is LAS.

Las Vegas Airport Terminals and Airlines

The terminal buildings are named 1 and 3. Terminal 1 serves domestic US flights while Terminal 3 is for international flights as well as some domestic carriers. McCarran Airport uses shuttle vans, buses and rental cars to enable transfers from the airport. Limousines are also available if needed. Make sure you find out your airlines terminal in advance.

Terminal 1 has a 6,000-space parking garage, and includes Ticketing/Check-in, Baggage Claim and the A, B, and C Gates. The D Gates satellite concourse is also accessible from Terminal 1. There is one baggage claim operating for these gates and it is located on Level 1 of the terminal. Airlines served at Terminal 1 include Allegiant, American, Delta, Omni, Southwest and Spirit Airlines.

Terminal 3 has 14-gates is for international carriers as well as some internal carriers. There is a 60,000-square-foot Customs & Border Protection arrivals hall along with a 10,000-square-foot duty free store. International Airlines at this terminal include Aeromexico, Air Canada, British Airways, Condor, Copa, Edelweiss, Interjet, Korean Air, MagniCharters, Norwegian, Sunwing, Thomas Cook, Virgin Atlantic, VivaAerobus, Volaris and WestJet. Domestic airlines include Alaska, Frontier, Hawaiian, JetBlue, Sun Country, United and Virgin America.

Facilities at the airport include banks, ATMs, restaurants, bars, shops, post office, first aid, massage, medical and fitness centers, a children’s play area, and a museum. As Las Vegas is a major gambling destination there are 1,300 slot machines located throughout the airport.
