Urban and Natural Landscapes Collide in East Mesa, AZ
East Mesa sidles up next to the Superstition Mountains, the Usery Mountain Regional Park and the Tonto National Forest, making it the ideal destination for untamed desert wilderness, meandering lakes and rivers, and wide-open spaces, but with urban convenience within reach.
This corner of the desert has been inhabited for thousands of years – starting with the Hohokam indigenous people who constructed sophisticated canal systems, earning the reputation for an advanced agricultural and trading society. Later, Mormon settlers called the area home and established some of the first outposts in the East Valley. It was officially incorporated in 1883.
Today, it’s a relaxed and easy-going suburban neighborhood between Apache Junction and Central Mesa. Our storage facility is roughly 30 miles from downtown Phoenix. The Loop 202 and the U.S. Route 60 connect East Mesa to nearby communities.
Like much of the southern half of the state, East Mesa experiences hot summers and mild winters, making it an attractive destination for snowbirds from around the country.
