North Las Vegas Airport is situated approximately 6 miles northwest of downtown Las Vegas, in North Las Vegas, Nevada. The airport is owned and operated by Clark County Department of Aviation and is the second busiest airport in the metro area after McCarran International Airport.
The airport is known by residents as Northtown and has a focus on lower performance general aviation and recreational scenic tours – while McCarran International Airport concentrates on major airlines and their flights. There are also helicopter operators who fly out of the airport.

The airport can accommodate parking for most types of general aviation aircraft. During busy times there is more than 18 acres of additional ramp space available for aircraft.
The terminal facilities includes a pilot lounge, Wi-Fi, satellite TV, weather briefings, meeting and conference rooms, and catering storage. The ground transportation options include rental cars from Hertz and Enterprise, taxis and crew cars. There is a courtesy shuttle available from downtown if needed.
North Las Vegas Airport is a friendly airport with nice staff who focus on customer service and safety. It is very quiet, clean and has ample parking. This is a good alternative to the busy major airport that services the area.
