Chandler, Arizona is located east of Phoenix. The main freeways that run through the city are the 101 and 202 freeway. The surrounding cities are Tempe to the north, Mesa to the northeast, Gilbert to the east, and the Ahwatukee neighborhood of Phoenix to the west of Chandler. People often refer to this part of the valley, Chandler included, as the East Valley.

Arizona State University (ASU) is located 15 minutes north of the 85225 area in Tempe. There is also an ASU campus 15 minutes northeast in Mesa. The Chandler area also has many vocational schools for all types of learning.

The biggest change can be seen in the Downtown Chandler Historic District. Here you will find many unique restaurants, bars, local shops, and even Improv! Even with all the new changes, Downtown Chandler is still growing and gaining more and more visitors.
The Chandler Center for the Arts is a great place to see all types of performances. This venue is located in the downtown area. The entertainment that can be found here includes concerts, theatre, ballet, and family events all year round.
