Storage West Centennial Hills is located in the neighborhood of Centennial Hills which is in the northwest part of metro Las Vegas. The property is on the northwest corner of West Centennial Parkway and North Durango Drive. Our address is 8856 West Centennial Parkway, Las Vegas NV 89149.
If you are traveling to our facility from the north, take either the 15 or 95 freeways south to the 215 west and exit on Durango Avenue. If you are coming from the south, take the 15 north to the 95 north to the 215 west and exit on Durango Avenue.
Centennial Hills is a mostly residential area with retail shops and medium sized businesses. It is a mix of older properties that are zoned for horses and new home and apartment developments. Most of our customers live in this area but do not work here. We are the closest Storage West facility to Creech Air Force Base so the neighborhood has a lot of military and their families.
There are two large retail centers within 2 miles north or west of our location that offer fine dining as well as casual options. Our next door neighbor, Dee’s Donuts, is a popular spot for donuts and coffee.
The major landmark in our area is Centennial Hills Hospital which is about 1 mile north of our location. The most interesting historic site near us is Floyd Lamb Park at Tule Springs. This area was one of the main water sources for the local Paiute Indian tribe. In the 1940’s, it became a working cattle ranch. It is one of the best remaining examples of a ‘divorce ranch.’ Thanks to Nevada’s rapid divorce laws, people would come and stay at the ranch to establish a residence and get divorced. Many of the original buildings are still there.
High desert weather means it’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter with lots of sunshine. In July and August, the temperatures will be well over 100 and in December and January the mercury barely hits 50 degrees. Since we are near the foothills of the Spring Mountains, we get a little more rain and snow and a lot more wind than most of the valley locations.
Our location primarily serves the residential community especially the apartment dwellers in need of some extra space. Since the Vegas housing market is on the rise, we also have a great deal of short term renters that are homeowners between houses. We have some local business customers who take advantage of the Business Pass and package delivery options. Because of the proximity to Creech AFB, we have deploying soldiers as well as local military and their families.
Our convenient location is our biggest selling point. We are one of the only facilities close to the housing developments in the area. The property is also very clean. It’s easy to access and has convenient gate hours.
Cleanliness and customer service are the two most common aspects of Storage West mentioned by our customers. We work hard to keep the property clean and well maintained and the customers notice this.
