Henderson, Nevada is a fun place to visit. It is close to Las Vegas with all its multitude of attractions – but there are also many fun things to do in and around Henderson. We shall take a look at some of these.
Cowabunga Bay Water Park
The Cowabunga Bay Water Park is located at 900 Galleria Drive, Henderson, NV 89011 and close to the freeway. This is a great place for people of all ages including children. There are plenty of slides, a children’s play area, a lazy river and a wave pool. Feature rides include the Wild Surf and Zuma Zooma. There is food available at the park and plenty of parking.
Lion Habitat Ranch
The Lion Habitat Ranch is located at 382 Bruner Ave, Henderson, NV 89044. It is a clean animal facility and the lions are well cared for. There is knowledgeable staff on hand to help give information about the 20-30 lions that live at the ranch. There are other animals including a giraffe to view during the 3 hour tour of the facility.
Clark County Heritage Museum
The Clark County Heritage Museum is located at 1830 South Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015. There is ample parking around the Museum and lots of historical information to discover. There are homes on display along with a railway station, railroad cars and locomotives. Most date back to the early 20th century. A great place to take photos.
Las Vegas Distillery
The Las Vegas Distillery is located at 7330 Eastgate Rd, Unit 100, Henderson, NV 89011. There are tours of the facility so you can find out about the distilling process and the products. You can also enjoy tastings of the fine, craft made liquor.
Other things to do in Henderson include helicopter tours, eco tours, desert trails and off road tours, and golf.
