The holidays are a great time for continuing old traditions and also starting new ones. Whether you are new to the West Valley, a new family, or looking to entertain guests visiting you during the holiday season we have plenty of entertainment of all types during the holiday season.
If you are looking to be impressed by some awesome light shows check out Illumination AZ. It is a drive through light display. Or check out where they light up the entire downtown Glendale area. During Glendale Glitters they actually offer free horse drawn carriage rides!
Looking to do something active? Believe it or not there are several outdoor ice skating rinks across the valley during this time of the year. Westgate Entertainment District in Glendale has a rink. Or, CitySkate is located in downtown Phoenix if you happen to be in that area.
Do you have some small children who need to get their Christmas lists to Santa? Westgate Entertainment District is a go to place for all things Christmas. A different spin on it would be to take them to have breakfast with Santa. You can do that at the Wigwam with a reservation. You can find the details here. Litchfield Park might be a little bit of a drive depending on what part of Glendale you are in, but I promise your kids won’t forget that breakfast!
Ever thought of bonding over a cooking class during the Holiday Season? Food is definitely on everyone’s mind during this time of the year. Whisked Away is a small cooking school in Phoenix that offers public classes. They have a couple of events in the Month of December that are Holiday focused. They have kid-friendly classes also!
This is just the beginning of a variety of things to do in the West Valley during the holiday season. I hope this was helpful in sparking some creativity!
