Residents of Rancho Cucamonga will soon have a new restaurant to enjoy with their families. Black Bear Diner, a national chain that prides itself on stellar service, will be opening a new location in Rancho Cucamonga in the future. The planned site of the restaurant is at 10910 E. Foothill Boulevard, at the location of the old HomeTown Buffet. That restaurant closed in 2017 and the space has been vacant ever since.
About Black Bear Diner
Black Bear Diner is a family restaurant with a friendly environment and a fun, bear-related theme. Their website says that they treat diners and employees as if they were family, and it shows in their commitment to excellent service and philanthropy.
One of the things that makes Black Bear Diner stand out from other chain restaurants is the company’s commitment to charitable giving. They give to charities on a national and international level, but they also get involved in every community where they have a restaurant through sponsorships and fundraising events.
That means that in addition to having a fun new place to enjoy a meal, residents of Rancho Cucamonga can look for the Black Bear Diner to be involved in the community in meaningful and lasting ways. Some of the company’s ongoing philanthropic efforts include:
- The Global Aldea Coffee Cooperative, which seeks out humanitarian projects in Nicaragua
- The Backpack Project, which provides new backpacks and school supplies to children in need
They also get involved on a local level to ensure that each location is an integral and vital part of the community that surrounds it.
The Black Bear Diner Menu
The menu for the Black Bear Diner features typical diner food with some surprising twists. The breakfast menu, for example, features a wide variety of egg dishes, including omelets and fried eggs. French toast, pancakes, and oatmeal are available alongside modern favorites like avocado toast.
At the top of their lunch menu is Bob’s Big Bear Burger, a 10-ounce beef burger with all the fixings. There are also traditional diner sandwiches like turkey or chicken club sandwiches and Reuben sandwiches, and a wide variety of salads.
At dinner, you can expect to see steaks, fish and chips, pasta, and an array of other hearty choices that will suit the whole family. All of their menus feature lighter choices in the “A Little Bit Less” category.
The kids’ menu, which here is called the Cubs’ Menu, features chocolate chip pancakes, chicken tenders, grilled cheese, corn dogs, and other items that will appeal to the picky eaters in your family.
Finally, you may also want to check out the dessert menu, which includes blackberry, cherry, or apple cobbler, chocolate cream pie, and bread pudding.
The Black Bear Diner features a full nutritional menu on the company website, which you can view here. The information is especially helpful for people with food allergies and sensitivities, as well as those who are watching their calories.
