Every year at Storage West we get together as a whole company to celebrate our successes in the past year and to participate in a training day to get us prepared for the year to come. This annual tradition is something we look forward to all year long. We make quite an event out of it.
The entire event takes place at the Los Angeles Athletic Club. This is where the company behind Storage West started out. It is very meaningful to have the event there each year, where we can celebrate our history all the way back to the very beginning.
To start off the event we all gather for a group photo before heading to the Awards Dinner. We can look back year after year and see how we’ve grown.
After our photo we head in for the dinner and award ceremony. The Los Angeles Athletic Club is a beautiful space for such an event. Their staff members are amazing and always take such great care of us.
After dinner we embark on a tradition that has been around as long as we have been a company. Pins are awarded to employees reaching milestones in their length of service with the company. Pictured here are all of our employees who have reached the 3 year mark.
Once the service pins have been awarded some of our managers are recognized for their outstanding efforts in the year prior. We had a lot of award winners from 2014. We start with a trophy for the District of the Year and work our way up to our highest award “Best in the West”, with many others in between. A big congratulations goes out to Orange County and our Surprise facility managers for winning those honors.
To wrap things up for the night after our managers have been credited with their accomplishments for the year we head on over to the after party to celebrate. We had a dessert bar, a DJ, a photo booth, casino games, and just an all-around good time!
The fun doesn’t stop there though. After a much needed rest from all the excitement we gather again the following day for the Business Conference portion of our trip. The whole company remains together to participate in sessions designed to help us do even better in the following year. This year we had a guest speaker as well as a training session on customer service with our company trainer.
After a full day of learning, discussions, and planning for the next year it’s time to head home, get back to work, and start looking forward to the next year’s events!
